What are the different categories I can search on Networking Monkey?
There are many categoies to choose from in order to help you find the right group type for you. Here are the varieties and a brief summary of each to help you:
- Networking- People in business gathering to introduce themselves and begin the relationship building process.
- B to B or Business to Business Networking- Here the networking is typically restricted to business people that sell to other Businesses and not to consumers. For example, most retailers like Bob's shoe store would not qualify.
- Leads Groups- A leads group is a regularly held event where the group is restricted to only one business person from a different industry. Threfore, two printers would not be allowed in the same leads group.
- Seminar- A seminar might include some networking, but typically has a speaker that educates the audience on a particular topic of interest.
- Transition event- A transition event is usually set up for people that are in transition or in between jobs. This event allows people to network with others in transition in order to find their next job or business.
- Associations- Most industries have their own associations. These groups help people network within a specific industry. An example would be the American Bar Association for Lawyers or American Marketing Association for marketing people.
- Women- This is a category for women to meet other women in business.
- Chambers of Commerce- The Chambers of Commerce in the United States are set up to encourage commerce in and around the local community. Networking at a local chamber will allow you to meet people that typically live or work in that comminity.
